Welcome to my 99 cents. I promise all the news I can afford – or less!
Old rule was, polite dinner conversation avoided politics and religion, sticking instead to the weather. No more! Today in NYC it’s balmy as May, and I can’t think of a more tense subject than the fact that the current temp. is 67 degrees. Just mentioning it seems distasteful, even ghoulish.
Lately when greeting neighbors or co-workers, I steer clear of potentially explosive comments like, “Warm enough for ya?” or “Nice day!” I mean, why make a scene?
Just today on our walk, BF said “Hey, remember winter?”
”Hon,” I replied, ”Must you use that word? It’s so hurtful.”
Our Brave New Seasons (Summer, Summer, Fall-ish, and Warm) will take a little getting used to, but there’s no reason we can’t all just pitch in and enjoy them all!

My motto about global warming is “I’m not having kids, what do I care?” To quote a like-minded brilliant leader “Bring it on!”
